HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Yay!!! Woke up this morning and the hubs and I weighed ourselves!!! I am down 2.4 pounds and him 4 pounds :) so happy and we are only on day 4 of 21! Yay....what a way to keep us motivated!!! Last night I cooked chicken with a beautiful salad and made homemade dressing. It was amazing. Crazy how much better your body feels when you fuel it with clean eating.
So...with the superbowl coming up this weekend, I know it is so hard to eat healthy we all want to dig ourselves into dips and cheeses, bread, etc. Sooo...here is a website for some healthy Superbowl party snacks. Think I am going to try one this weekend :) they all sound amazing!

I found this recipe in my book where I can do my chocolate shake with coffee (black) and pure vanilla extract....MMMMMM let me tell you...IT WAS AWESOME!! My new morning ritual.
Ok so on day 2 of my 3 week journey. This morning I had my shake with some natural peanut butter, which I might say was amazing! I want to try to hold off my shake to the end of the day (after my workout) but when I wake up, I am just so excited to have it. My husband was super busy yesterday and didn't get to eat all of his food (I ate every little bit of mine), but we came up with a better plan and I put times to his eating and texted him the plan. I am hoping this will help more. We made omelets last night and they were amazing. I actually went to bed feeling good...for once (usually I feel bloated and exhausted). I am glad we are eating clean again and I love it. It has its' challenges but I just keep convincing myself to stay focused...only 3 weeks :). Below you can see a pic of my wonderful overnight oatmeal I am super stoked to have today as well.
Recipe: 3/4 cup rolled oats 1 cup raspberries sprinkle of cinnamon 1/2-3/4 cup of light vanilla almond milk So my husband and I finally have the time to be able to start the 21 day fix. I do think it is going to be challenging with going out with friends and everything. I woke up early today to prep for the day for my husband and myself. After our calculations he gets to eat about 2200 kcals a day and I get a measly 1200. I was a little jealous after sending him out the door with all that food but still excited to get back on track to healthy eating. I started with my vegan shakeology which I love (chocolate flavored). Then I went about my day with my fruits, oatmeal, salad, and more. It was pretty easy to pull everything together however I know my biggest challenge will be getting enough flavor into the foods for the hubby. I am currently thinking of ideas and know I will be able to provide flavor through the herbs and spices. One thing I was really obsessed with today was my mint and lime water....so good. I have been using the potty a lot but that is my body releasing my extra water weight. I am excited about our workout tonight :) and dinner!
Hello everyone,
So I was extremely focused for my wedding in November but after that it has been hard to focus on my nutrition. It is just so much easier going out to eat or picking up fast food. But I know that eating in and cooking at home is the best option. My main new focus is to find great at home meals to cook that don't have too many ingredients or take too much time. I will be posting weekly recipes to help your health. Please contact me if you have any questions. |
